I don't know... at the risk of sounding like a fanboy, Iced Earth's 'Screaming for Vengeance' was not too shabby either.

it wasn't too shabby...but c'mon, death-painkiller=TOTAL AND COMPLETE OWNAGE

IE did alright...but they didn't try to add anything dynamic to the song...just blantantly covered it, thats alright..I guess.But chuck tried to do something that would make the band proud and feel like they were influencial.

Hey, no praising Iced Earth on this board!

It's kind of a tossup, really...I've seen them both live and they were both fucking amazing. Ripper has more range overall, but Halford just has that incredible scream. Top two metal singers...I'll go with Halford because of greater contribution to metal as a whole.
