not sure where I am coming from either
i don't think of the Crue as someone Hall of Fame worthy ... musically anyway. maybe if they wanted a band to represent the hair metal scene ... yes, then they deserve it.

If induction is based solely on artistic merrit, than perhaps not. However, I think the Hall is more about longevity. For instance, I'm sure Madonnna will be inducted when she's eligible. And the only value she's brough to the music industry is a pair of flawless 34Cs.
