I've been lurking for a few months, time to step out, be brave. I've read a lot and hopefully some of it has sunk in.

Trying to mix this for a few friends, to save a few pounds and time. It's metally hardcore. Am i wasting my time time and theirs (are they wasting their time with this silly positive macho stuff)?

I'm trying to get a bit of space in their, but find myself not wanting to cut too much eq-wise. I'd be happy to hear any suggestions.

kick sounds a bit weird, snare could come up a bit, so can overheads.

but definitely not bad for starters!

thanks a bit of encouragement goes a long way. especially when you feel like you've been listening to the same thing for months and months and aren't getting anywhere. I might need to step away for a couple of days.

I think the kick was recorded poorly, might just be best off triggering this?
