How to make your own Isolation Shield with $50 or less.

Haven't tried what you did, but I have built a vocalbooth in my livingroom.. door and all..
Instead of buying expensive dampening foam from a musicstore, I found a lot cheaper foam at a carstore..
This:

It works great.. it's for carspeakers, the measurements: 40 x 60 x 2 cm.. and it's 5 of those pieces for 10$..
Covered my booth in it (still have a few places to cover at the floor), and I have no issues.. (yes, I've had experience with expensive foam)

I might have to try this out!

You could build a stand for it, or drill holes and hang it on sturdy hooks with some string wire.

I might go the stand route, I was just hoping to be able to do something similar to the SE Reflexion Filter, how it attaches onto the mic stand... Though it'll probably be too heavy and just topple over more that I think about it :D

I'd really love to do the curved design, but I can't think of anything I could buy at a hardware store or something for decently cheap that would have a sturdy curve like that, that I could also attach the Roxul to.

Pick up a sheet up ABS plastic. Cut it to the dimensions you want then you can heat it up and bend it. I do that all the time for my other hobby. If you're super cheap you can just take a blow dryer to it. Bend it more the hotter it gets.

Interesting - I'll certainly look into that, I didn't even think about using plastic! :D
