Roland AX-7 help anyone?

I recently bought a Roland AX-7 and im having problems trying to save patches on it from my main keyboard. it saves octave jumps, transposings, and other things like that, but it doesnt save the actual voice on my keyboard. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks.

You cant save the tones on that unit, its a MIDI controller only. When you use it live you have to be connected to a synth to get your tones from it.

but i read a different forum and he explained how to save the tones. i followed what he sed, but i still cant get it. tho, i have found that for some reason, when u select one patch using the controller, and then save it on another patch, somehow its able to save the patch that was selected.

ok, so ive found out some way to select patches on the keytar. instead of changing the patches on the keytar, i overwrote the patches on the unit im controlling that the keytar was selecting with patches i wanted.
