Hey all,

I've only had the luxury of recording guitars in a fully carpeted room with no pure reflective surfaces. So I'm curious as to what different room styles will do to your sound. Are there any general rules, such as "wood floors and walls will do XXX" etc etc? Does room reflection have more effect on bottom end or top? Just curious about stuff like that. Thanks!

Honestly, I like a nice, open room for my guitars. HUUUGE or with insane verb, but I hear more standing waves and get a more direct sounding tone with baffles/foam around the cabinet.

Hell, Andy's are in a decent sized room with hardwood floors and a rug on top, with cobblestone walls and vaulted ceilings.
