Roosters win

The Cowboys were robbed! What a ripoff! Simpkins pretty much made sure he won't be the ref next week after not calling time off with two seconds to go.

Ricketson will be suspended, now that there are definitely two Sydney teams in the grand final and so the judiciary doesn't have to protect anyone. Hodges could go as well.

GO THE DOGGIES!! :headbang:

I cant believe you idiots are supporting the Bulldogs, they are the most disgraceful sports team EVER. Its like there are no morals or standards anymore, you people just think you can act willy nilly and get away with it. Its a sign just how far society has fallen.

Id seriously poison the Bulldogs Gatorade before the game if I thought I could get away with it.

I hate the Roosters SO much, but GO THE ROOSTERS!

I've been a Doggies fan since before they were called the Doggies. I tried to stop liking them during the Super League drama, but I couldn't. I also remember when they were the best team in the League in the early 80s and the game's administration, the media and the selectors continued to snub them for funding, rep honours and equal media time. Now they have the lion's share of it, even if it isn't always for the right reasons. Regardless of what happens in the Board room and the motel room, they are an awesome team on the field where it counts. 10 wins in a row this season, two finals wins by huge margins... that's where it counts. :)

I dont think its just on the field where it counts, the whole organisation is a DISGRACE, from the administration, to the players, to the fans.

Going for the Bulldogs is like selling your soul to Satan. You are a disgrace.

During the 2001/02 bushfires, Panthers made a big media show of allowing interstate fire fighters to use their facilities while they were in Sydney assisting with the firefighting effort. Immediately after the crisis, they held a special press conference where they donated $25,000 to the bushfire appeal. Three months later, they presented the Rural Fire Service with a bill for accomodation and use of the facilities to the tune of $250,000. So much for their "generosity". That's not corruption, of course, but it is hypocrisy. There's hypocrisy and corruption at every club, at every level, even at junior football. The Bulldogs have been exposed publically, but that doesn't mean they're the only guilty ones, or even the worst. The NRL is a corporation after all, and each club is a franchise.

Spawn you criticise a football team for a few players of field actions. Yet if one of your beloved bands do anything remotely imoral of the stage you don't. Your a hipocrite! You just can't handle that the Panthers got up staged by the better team on the day.
A great team is a team that shows consistancy and wins on the field. A good person is one who shows good will to all and does good by there fellow man. Two completly seperate things.
So bloody what there are a few bad eggs amongst the Canterbury team, there are some in every team. The few in this case are just known because the media exposed them.
A couple of Penrith's past players had a bad habit of trying to get into under age girls pants...in their great year where they won premiership in 1992....but this was never exposed to the media. There has been many an incident mainly at Panthers Entertainment complex involving Panthers players over the years. But all has been down played or covered up as it happened on sacred terriotory. I know this as one of my mothers closest friends has worked there since the place opened up.So get of your moral high ground and realise your barking up the wrong tree here.

Ironically enough, one such incident happened to a friend of mine.... I won't name names, but a senior player didn't take to kindly to the fact that she had a boyfriend and made it known in the the most blatantly obvious way, by having his mates forcibly seperate the couple during the night so the player could make his moves at my friend while keeping her boyfriend indisposed.

She promptly told him to fuck off or she'd report him to the media, knowing full well that complaining to the club was pointless

Fuck the bulldogs. I am a manly fan, and I still hate the bulldogs more than I hate the roosters.

Go Easts, you onlt won because simpkins is a faggot.

*Sigh* Idiots. That you compare the Panthers (or indeed any other club) as being as bad as the Bulldogs is ridiculous. *Clearly* they are not, not even close. Yes im sure corruption of some sort goes on at other clubs, but not on the MASSIVE scale thats gone on at the Bulldogs.

Firstly, players who get involved in fights or whatever from other clubs invariably GET PUNISHED, yes im sure theres plenty of times where they just keep it on the quiet when a player plays up, but then, theres plenty of time other people will get thrown out of a club instead of arrested. The Bulldogs sweep it under the carpet and let them off completely. But, seeing as you guys all seem to have short memories, let me just remind you what the Bulldogs have done.

* The salary cap rort by the administration, which was hidden so well that it took someone investgating something unrelated to football to find the anomalies, thus it was a massively calculated attempt to CHEAT by the administration.

* The rape scandal, something obviously happened, just because nobody was charged over it means nothing. The Bulldogs then fired the chairman and some others because the PLAYERS are thugs. So not only did it bring the whole club into disrepute, it lost some people their jobs.

* Their fans are without a shadow of a doubt the worst in the country, in just this year they have smashed seats and other people at a match, let off a flare at a game and intimidated and harrassed Cowboys supporters who were just there supporting their team. No other team has ever had the constant trouble that the Bulldogs do with their fans.

* One of their thug players beat the shit out of a police officer, is found guilty, then when the Bulldogs are asked if they will punish the player they said no, because he wasnt with the club at the time the offence was committed. So apparently Hitler could get a callup for this weekends Grand Final. Also, on a side note, Willie Mason was the guys character reference. As soon as the judge saw that he should have locked him up.
Craig Gower, Mark Gasnier and some other guy were caught drinking, breaking team camp rules and visiting a prostitute and they were suspended (in Gasniers case) and fined (though it should have been more, and all of them should have been suspended, but thats another story). But apparently what they did is far worse than bashing a police officer senseless as they were punished and the other guy wasnt.

* Willie Mason was drawing dicks and signing other peoples names on fans posters and stuff and ruining NSWs good name. He is like a 5 year old.

* The Bulldogs have a coke user on their team (at least one) which, before any idiot says its his choice, it is ILLEGAL to use any banned substances when you play in the NRL. The Bulldogs found this out with a positive drug test but then refused to give the results to the NRL so the player in question could be punished.
If Andrew Walker had stayed in the game he would have gotten a year or two in suspension, whoever it was gets away with it completely, even though the club has the evidence right in front of them.

The Bulldogs culture is one that perpetuates crap like that constantly. Mess up and we will cover it up.

So I don't suppose the mess that was the Panthers' 1992 side wasn't corrupt or full of idiots. Ben and Greg Alexander and Brad Fittler and Brad Izzard cruising bars in Penrith, Richmond and Blacktown picking up under-age chicks, Mark Geyer being banned for half the season for illegal drugs, Ben Alexander dying in a car accident caused by Izzard who was driving drunk... These guys were champion players, but they were acting like cowboys and rock stars. Instead of concentrating on winning back-to-back premierships that a team with that much skill should have been able to do, those guys just about ruined the Penrith club that year and it took almost a decade to recover. Willie Mason acting like an idiot? You don't say. He's no worse than Geyer was back in the early 90s. Ray Price from Parramatta used to live one street away from me in the 80s and regularly verbally abused supporters of other clubs who lived nearby! Want to talk about idiot fans: Parramatta fans BURNED CUMBERLAND OVAL TO THE GROUND! Want to talk about corrupt administrations? Brisbane, Canberra, Manly... the list goes on. Manly practically ran the ARL in the 70s and 80s. Not only was their CEO also the chairman of the ARL, the head national coach and selector was the team coach! You can *sigh* and carry on all you like spawn, this Bulldogs thing is nothing new. And the Mortimers weren't sacked from the Board. They resigned.

Yes, and how is that the same as the Bulldogs? It isnt. Parramatta had trouble one year with fans, it was one night after one game. The Penrith team in 1992 was the PLAYERS only being idiots. Mark Geyer was a moron, but did he draw a penis on a young fans poster or sign other peoples names when he was signing stuff for kids? No. And I doubt any other player in the history of the NRL has. Until I see evidence from you that Brisbane, Canberra or Manly are/were corrupt, you dont have a leg to stand on, the Bulldogs were CAUGHT cheating.

The Bulldogs have ALL those problems and more.

I hate both teams, but I hate the roosters alot more that I hate the Dogs.

This is one Grand Final that I am not overly excited about unfortunately.

I want the Sharks back in the finals :(

Spiff.... The cowboys didn't have a full scrum packed. They were missing a second rower and the lock. They had about 10 full seconds to pack the scrum, and had about 6 to 800 players around the area where the scrum would have been packed. They had plenty of time to pack it. Fuck it, put wingers and halves in there...

OK spawn. Whatever you wish. It's no use arguing with you. I should have known better.
No Bulldogs player has killed another team member in a drunken car accident. Their fans haven't burned down a stadium. You can hate them all you want, but they've yet to do that. If you want to see how corrupt the ENTIRE ORGANISATION is, from the officials right down to player's agents, read "Super League: The Inside Story" by Mike Colman. It won't stop you hating the Bulldogs, but you'll end up hating just about everyone else too.

Mike Colman rules. :headbang:

Spawn, Willie Mason didn't draw anything rude during the Origin thing. That's been proven wrong, they showed the thing he was drawing on on the news and in the press.

I was with everyone else, I wanted Mason to be hung out to dry after the cocaine and Origin thing, but I've really got a lot of respect for him now. It's obvious that the media focused on him because he was an easy target, always getting into mischief and always handy for a good quote, but since then I've read interviews with him and he's obviously not that bad a fella. And yeah, I know that's all his perspective, but he doesn't seem to care enough about what others think of him to lie about it all.

What does this have to do with anything? Perhaps if one club had those problems id see a small part of the point you are trying to make.

I listed all the problems the Bulldogs have, right through from the top administrators, to the players, then to the fans. You just drag out one incident from different clubs history, then add them all together and say that its not "just" the Bulldogs that are rotten, that makes no sense. I think my hatred of the Bulldogs is perfectly justified, they are a disgrace.

Spiffo: I didnt name Willie as the cocaine player as he denied it, so he does care enough to lie sometimes :)
