Hey, new tune just finished. Much faster paced than my usual stuff...

A bit similar to those bands I mentioned but not really

I used BFD, DFH, SoloC, Nebula.

Would love to get your thoughts on this tune & mix

Had a bit of trouble with the guitars being record with an octave effect on and only playing one string for the entire song. So decided to fill it in with plenty of bass. Think it helped balance the mix

Those drums are HUGE! What samples on the kick/snare?

I think the guitars could come up a bit, and the lowend is a little too loud, it distorts a bit on some kick hits. Otherwise a fucking killer mix.

It's possible I maaay have at the last minute turned up the bass guitar to substitute for the guitars being a tad too quiet I've just noticed the distorting on some of the kicks too, will get that sorted.

As for the samples, it's a mix of about 5 different things for both the snare & kick. I've got a stock kick in there from bfd with some eq, mixed are about 3 other kicks... one for "plod", one for mid punch, one for low end... Pretty much the same deal with the snare too. I think the drums might be powerful because the guitars are not too in your a face.

However, I'm going to have a mess on with it again see if I can get rid of some of these problems.
