Rosemary's Baby (1968)

mike has sited this movie as a favorite before i beleive, so i wouldnt be surprised. but i wouldnt know what connection youre referring to in particular, as i dont know all the words to isolation years.

The mother's name in Ghost Reveries is Rosemary, and she gives birth to a possessed child. In the movie, Rosemary is raped by Satan and becomes pregnant - can't remember how the baby came out. I'd say there's definitely some influence there.

The way I see it. Mike was just influenced by the films concept of a woman being raped by the devil and having its child

Ghost of Perdition however, handles the issue of a woman pregnant with satans child. I don't have the booklet here beside me, but I can add some reveiling quotes later.

this is a very good suspense film and well worth watching...

Great! Can't wait to see it!

What i belived so far is that every song _except_ Isolation Years is part of a concept. But now it seems that IY is part of it too.

*sigh*

a famous and quality horror/suspense film nearing almost 40 years old now...finally getting kids' attention because a swedish band has a song with some lyrics paralleling the basic plot.

someone should make a documentary on fanboys. then mike can write a song about it, so then the kids will actually get around to watching the film due to pure opeth related interest and realize how silly they are upon viewing.

Haha veery clever Mr Ground. I've actually been Polanski fan for a while. RB is probably my favourite. Mike seems to have a soft spot for classy horrors....which is nice

I think that's good they want to see it, whatever is the reason... It's a good film... And great soundtrack, music by Krzysztof Komeda!!!

what made you think this, man? IY practically hits you over the head with storytelling.
