Rough mix, what can I do to improve on it?

no no dude , they can get pretty tricky at first but once you get over that first hurdle its like riding a bike!
sorry for my 1st post i was just being retarded haha, well impulses are files that simulate the power amp and speaker cab. If you use a program like Voxnego Boogex you can load in custom impulse files of cabs/power amps and there you go now you have a useable sound.
The pods use impulses too, just really badly! Theres a ton of shit about impulses in the production thread , infact theres a sticky with everything you need to know

I actuly think you did well with the drums all things considered btw!
The guitars sound like they have abit too much gain on them. In my experience try to use just enough and no more it really can work against you, certainly if your looking for clarity.
