Well... good news for Priest... The best metal producer around will work on what I think will be their ONLY record with Rob... I'm not optimistic about this "reunion" because it is motivated by nothing more than the pocket book. (you could say the same thing about Maiden, but Maiden got to work right away... Priest hasn't even taken any promo pictures together... and their manager was denying the reunion even though it was posted on many major, reputable, news sources)

bad news for us Bruce Dickinson solo fans... we've been waiting 6... count 'em... SIX FREAKIN' YEARS for a follow up to Bruce Dickinson's The Chemical Wedding..

Sure he's been busy with Maiden... but an update... SOMETHING! would appease me. His "official" website NEVER gets updated, and we are only left to speculate.
Would seem a waste to stop a solo career that has put forth some of the best metal of the past 10 years.

For those of you that don't know...
Roy Z has co-written and produced the last 4 Bruce Dickinson releases...

Accident of Birth
The Chemical Wedding
Scream For Me Brazil
The Best of Bruce Dickinson

He's also produced both of the Halford records and, with Bruce, had written demo-ed material that was to be in the fabled Three Tremors record with Geoff Tate and Rob Halford (but those two couldn't work the record into their busy schedules... and rumor has it, Rod Smallwood didn't like the idea... )

Hard to say if Rob will stay. I saw an interview where they asked Rob why he left and he just shook his head and said he really didn't know why he left, it was shortly thereafter it looked like the reunion process began. I think the stuff Rob did in Halford was far more superior than than the stuuf Priest did during the same time.

As a side note the new Iced Earth, Glorius Burden was just released and you really get to see what Tim Owens can do. It's sounds a bit Priest, a few places he sounds like Bruce and in someplaces there is a Savatage feel.

Indeed... just like the stuff that Bruce and Roy did was far superior than the stuff Maiden came up with during the same time... (not trying to offend the Blaze fans... just making a statement of fact :Smug: )

You know, when the reunion was announced the inevitable rumors that Rob had HIV and this was a one-last-chance deal were going around. Of course he denied them, I don't blame him. But what if that is indeed the case, and that's what set him off in 1991? I certainly don't wish HIV on anyone, but if that is the case, it might explain him going nuts for a while.
