I agree, but mine would be quite different. there's also mention of albums released in '03. The Work Which Transforms God, for example.

I live in New Zealand.

I had the album on mp3 in November of last year.

EDIT: It was re-released by Candlelight in 2004. This is also the copy of the album I have, but it was originally released in 2003.

I don't agree with any of the lists, but it's still better than most of the shit I was used to see. Where's Quo Vadis in those list?

Wow, those guys have bad taste! The three good full-length albums that were released this year only got one mention each; of those, two, including the best one (the new Graveland) were near the bottom of the lists on their mention; and none of the three (the other two being Esoteric and Deathspell Omega) made the overall top 10.

Good job Royal Carnage for advertising to me that your taste is utter shit and that I should never take one of your reviews seriously!

SPAM!

This is NAD, for my list if the album was released in the US in 2004, it counted.

Thanks for the compliments to the 'zine, and thanks to Cynical for the chuckle.

I respect Royal Carnage's taste and agree with most of their reviews and lists.

Some of the stuff I'm not really into though, like Ayreon or...oh I can't think of another one off the top of my head that made any of the lists that I didn't care for but I know there were a few.

Did the album receive recognition (like it had this year) when it was originally released?

Yes it had very good feedback , only in France though . Check their label (Appease me) and their website , good news are coming , with Memoria Vetusta n°2 ( the first being a raw melodic bm gem) and Ghost of Sound which is like Tribes Of Neurot for Neurosis . Also Monolithe and Spektr (the label releases) are all good if not great ; they are worth a listen too .

I don't listen to any of the shit you listed.... Your opinion is yours, and I respect it, so respect ours. :Spin:

Most people don't understand the notion of respect here.
