RUDRA - Brahmavidya: Primordial I

just wait. I have asked Red Stream to get it, and he said it shouldn't be a problem. I'm sure The End will be getting it as well.

$12 + $15 shipping from Malaysia???????.....where else can I get this without having to sell my kidneys?

I HIGHLY recommend you check out the sample in the link above. Based on that one song alone, it OBLITERATES the stuff I've heard from the new Nile (which in all honesty has turned out to be wholly disappointing and weak).
It's only $15 for the express shipping fee, I bought some stuff from Demonzend with the cheapest shipping(which costs around $4-5) and the package got here in about a week and a half.

I recently got "The Ayran Crusade" and it's fucking awesome. I'm ordering the new one right now :dopey:

Oh right, that's much better. They really need to make that more clear, I didn't find "regular shipping prices" anywhere.

So nobody's interested in the sample MP3? Shame. It's superb, in a slight Melechesh kinda way, except MUCH more 'organic' and natural sounding. That female mantra just before the solo does the trick.

Get out the gr1m troll-ridden forest for 3 minutes of your life and listen to something different. :tickled:

I liked it a lot. It's a given I'm getting this, though I'm waiting for the $10-$13 p/p price range.

Yeah, the thing is, shipping from that part of the world is hit or miss. I don't mind paying an extra $2 to get it in a week, as opposed to waiting (however long) for Red Stream to get it, but there is a reason why they use a courier service as well as regular service. Who knows how reliable the Malaysian post office service is.

One thing is for sure, somebody on this side of the planet needs to sign Rudra and get them a better distribution line. I have no problem with them being so far underground, it's just sad that most people won't have heard them yet, and I know there is an audience. If Nile and Melechesh can do it...

I'll tell you exactly. I've heard the entire Nile album, and I dislike the fact that (a) they've toned down their sound, (b) they've cleaned up the production to sound more like Decaptiated or something else of that overly polished ilk, and (c) most importantly, it doesn't sound like 'Nile' anymore.

That monolithic wall of sound, almost muddy brutality, gut wrenching vocals, etc sounds vacant.

The reason why I compare Rudra is because it has an ethnic vibe, obviously. Just like Melechesh, early Orphaned Land, and Lykathea Aflame, there is something pretty different to it (certainly they all get lumped together), except of course Rudra aren't just using the exotic song structures alone, their entire lyric structure has real meaning too. The whole thing sounds very 'rhythmic', almost trance like.

It's going to be fun to see what album is better, Rudra or Nile. I've only heard a sample from each album, and the Rudra song is better.

Don't know, I pull out my Rudra CDs well before Nile or Melechesh. Aryan Crusade is great. The last song on Aryan Crusade can compete with the best from Nile. I love "I".

Don't get me wrong though - the new Nile is still pretty fucking good, it's just not as good as ItDS or BSoV, which to me, logically speaking, makes it somewhat disappointing. I will probably even buy it used down the line just so I can spend time with the lyrics and descriptions. Certainly songs like "Cast down the Heretic" have their moments, like that dual lead break at 3:40, and the shouted chanting "CAST! DOWN! THE HERETIC!!". All very cool, but old Nile > new Nile. I wanted to be pummeled into a mummy's tomb in the way "Chapter/Snake", "War God", "Unas, Slayer..." etc did. Right now, new Nile sound a bit too 'regular'.

Haha, I'm not sure if I'm supposed to be included in that category, but I'm listening to the track now, and it actually sounds pretty good even though this is only the second time I'm hearing it. My only complaint so far is that the chorus is kind of tame and repeated too often

Hi, the default shipping rates are called 'priority mail'. Here's the link that'll show the rates: http://www.demonzend.com/priority_rate.asp. These rates are calculated automatically unless of course you decide to take the 'EMS International Courier service' option at the point of check-out during online purchase. This EMS service is costlier by 10X but fast and insured!

The postal service we use to send packages is of the cheapest there is and therefore we extend that rate to our customers as well. We have not lost any packages sent to anywhere in the world in our 3 years in business using this postal method. Generally, a shipment to USA/Can takes about 10days to arrive via our 'priority mail' option.

Cheers - Jess (DemonZend)

Hey Jess - alternatively, what deal have you struck with US distributors releasing your material? Are there any plans for The End or Red Stream to sell your roster? If not, we'll know not to bother waiting and just go to you direct especially since your shipping cost to the US is $1.50 (cheaper than Malaysia even, hehe). Let us know, thanks.

Well End Records will be stocking up RUdra's latest within the next week or so. Red Stream has been approached and we are awaiting reply. We also have sent promo copies to countless radio stations and magazines so by this time next month many around the world should be hearing Rudra demolish the airways! We are pleased to hear good things about the album so far. In the meantime, if anyone wants to grab the very limited FREE 8 track compilation CD and poster that come with the Primordial I digi then hurry to www.demonzend.com to purchase directly. This album is selling fast in our home region! and so is the comp CD and free poster.

Got the promo today. One listen in: much 'bigger' production (at least, compared to Kurukshetra), the drums are prominent which is a good thing since the drumming is a lot more frantic on this record compared to previous -- making it feel a little more brutal. The vocals are a vast improvement as well. Too early to comment on the songs, but so far so good.

EDIT: Oh yeah, what's up with everyone using the same type font these days? Primordial, October Falls, and Rudra all use the same exact font, and I noticed it here because "Primordial" is in the album title.
