Rumor has it, Dio died today.

:worship: RIP DIO :worship:

Man, this sucks...it's not really a shocker given how old he was and that he was fighting cancer after all, but still shitty regardless. I remember back in high school when I used to feel like the whole system was against me and I was being pressured to conform, and yada yada, all that typical high school rebellious bullshit. But Holy Diver was one of those albums I could pop in, and sing along horribly, and it made me realize that the daily cattle drive of high school didn't mean shit in the long run, that my "problems" were just speed bumps...I still get goose bumps, my heart still races listening to Stand Up And Shout. Will have more than a few drinks for this man, a true metal legend.

I love the entire blabbermouth page today, it's completely filled with condolences with some of the biggest names around. Halford, Ulrich, Slash, Kiss, Twisted Sister, Coverdale, etc etc etc. Everyone knows how huge of a loss this is.

I was @ WOA 2004 and didn't realize who was presenting it.. haha. In fact Joey was a roadie for Sabbath during the H & H tour and he played live with Elf sometime.

Drink, fuck and rock in the name of Dio!

The news headlines slapped me in the face yesterday... What a shock. R.I.P. Ronnie... Elf, Buttefly Ball, Rainbow, Dio, Black Sabbath, Heaven & Hell... From poppy 60s Amber Velvet to crushing doom riffs of Follow The Tears, there hasn't been a single track that would make me doubt this man's songwriting and vocal mastery. Truly a loss.

Never was a huge fan, so this doesn't effect me too much. Regardless, it still sucks.

RIP Dio.

never got to see Dio... I was always too young to get in wherever he played, or busy if there was no age limit. I missed H&H last year at Sweden Rock Festival too, due to a severe lack of money... That gig apparently sucked, though... the sound engineer fucked up.

Makes me happy to have seen them on Sweden rock 2007! I also saw them in Copenhagen the night before and the sound was abit fuzzy at times. I also took a fuzzy picture there:
