rush

oh...someone listens to rush! oooold band, awsome!

We're on the train to Bangkok
Aboard the Thailand Express
We'll hit the stops along the way
We only stop for the best

i love bangkok, this song soooo takes me back there...

I grew up with Hemispheres on my RECORD player La villa strangaletto( spellcheck that title lol ) & YYZ are my fav's Moving pictures I remember asking my parents to buy me for my Birthday my mom used to joke about Geddy Lee looking like the wicked witch of the west but lordy could he sing ...even though my favs have no voice hehe

Oh Rush. How I love thee. Speaking of Bangkok, why do they never play the song live? Damn them, their dryers, and their non-playing of Bangkok.

yeah i used to bash the fuck out of the skinheads in the canteen, THEY DIDN'T LIKE ME OR MY TSHIRT OR TRY TO UNDERSTAND...until the leader DEAN became my best friend..

LOVE THE BAND , STILL PUTTING OUT COOL SHIT

YES, Rush in Rio IS AMAMZING BORROWED the dvd...fromteh library
my favourite vinyl is permanent waves, 1980 and my favourite song is XYZ

I listened to nearly all of "Hold Your Fire" today. For some reason I like the synth stuff from the 80's. And yes, I understand this ratchets the nerd quotient up a few notches for me.

I like Rush and they are excellent live but they're overrated, especially Peart.

I mean shit, the guy has been playing the same fucking drum solo for 20 years. Then, he releases a boring fucking video of him analyzing his drum solo.

NP: Crotchduster - Stars Ingenious Cooter

Damn I love Rush. First time I saw them was 83' and seen them about 15 times since. Great band, everyone a prodigy musician... On the Signals tour I was front row, right in front of Gary (umm Geddy) and I swear, he fucking slayed. He was playing two sets of foot organs, bass (sometimes one, sometimes two handed) along with synth AND singing. OMFG.

Strange this post now, I have just in the last week had a resurgence of Rush, mainly PW, Natural Science and Hemi, L V Stran... Also just picked up Vapor Trails, not bad at all.

Long live Rush!!

I also just listened to Magna Carta's (Label) Tribute to Rush CD.
Hell yeah!! Man they got a ton of peeps on that, and they all kick the shit out of the songs they play.

Steve Morse and James Murphy on La Villa
George Lynch and James Murphy on Anthem
Seb Bach, Petrucci, Portnoy, Sheehan on Jacob's Ladder
Fates Warning doing Closer to the Heart
And my personal favorite, Natural Science with Devon, Castronovo, Murphy and Hamm.
If you haven't heard this CD, GO BUY IT!
