S.O.D.- R.I.P.

I spoke with Bill, and he is no longer going to attempt to put together any version of the band w/o all the original members, and since he and Charlie have both decided never to play with each other again due to all the recent shit-slinging, the band is over.
This is not an Ozzy-esque trick, we're not gonna do a "final" tour ("This is the last time you'll get a chance to see us ever, so make sure and go!", that Sharon is a crafty bitch), if you never saw S.O.D. you never will.
Sgt.D will be going to Valhalla with the rest of the dead warriors. Adios amigos, and thanks for all the support, it was greatly appreciated.

Thats sounds good to me man,i could think of nothing worse than seeing a legendary band that broke so many barriers years ago worked into the ground and turned into some egomaniacs sideshow.

S.O.D is Billy Charlie Scott and Danny simple as that,anything other than that would be a cheap imitation!!!

Glad to see Billy wised up and decided not to rape the name S.O.D. by putting out an album without Scott & Charlie. It sucks it had to end like this but at least I got to see S.O.D. live once. R.I.P.

I caught three shows of the legendary Stormtroopers of Death.

• 1997 Reunion Tour at Peabodys in Cleveland, OH with Exodus. This was by far the coolest, I had the tix from like February until the show, which was in July!!! "It was like OMG I'm gonna see SOD!!!!"
• Killith Fair: Thanksgiving Night the Alrosa Villa in Columbus, OH 1999. Awesome time!! Hung out on the bus before the show with delprince and bag. Ate B-day cake with Scott and Charlie, watched KISS live in Jersey City 1976 b&w bootleg
• March of the SOD: March 2000 Peabodys Downunder in Cleveland, OH. The final show for TD

Dan thanks for the update. As fan of fan of all the projects you guys have gone (Thrax, N.A, M.o.D) I am gald Billy decided not to do it with out all four original members. It just wouldn't be the same no matter who was filling who's shoes. Thanks for the great albums (both of them), thanks for being a major inspiration to us all. I had the privlage of seeing the band three times and they where great shows ( tuxedo junction, The chance in Poughkeepsie and of course CBGB), hell, when Bill broke your bass I even got a pice of it. I have had the privlage of meeting all the memebers on seperate ocasions and I have to say you guys where great (Even BIlly). The guy can be rude but you have to understand the sense of humor. Hope to see you guys do it again but if not at least the legend lives on. Thanks fellas.

It does suck that these dudes can't get along. I wished for more S.O.D in the future but it looks like that will never happen.

S.O.D. was ahead of thier time back in the mid '80s, Dan and Bill should get together NOW and start a new different extreme band to blow us away like 'Speak English or Die' did.

I saw S.O.D. in Denver in 99. It was a fucking blast. I got one of Scott's picks from that show.
I think I'll go watch an S.O.D. DVD now...
