Sad Legend (South Korean Metal Scene)

Excellent works from this band. Any fan of emotional melodic black metal needs to hear these guys (or guy). Throw in some Emperor-esque keyboards and a soprano singer as well. Well worth tracking down.

Anyone familiar with bands such as Holymarsh or Oathean?

Yea, they're good stuff. I wonder if they're ever going to release something else. I like the direction the ep took compared to the full length.My favorite moment on the ep would be "sigh on the billow," the outro rules (reminds me of golden dawn a bit).

Oathean is above average melodic black metal. Their first album has some quality stuff on it. They throw in enough variation to make them stand out. Upfront bass, acoustics, flutes, clean vocals, keys. Some of the titles are a bit weird: "The rotten egg smell stuck on my belly" :zombie:, its actually a good song though. Their second album is also pretty solid, in the same style as the first.

Thing is, Sad Legend should be name dropped along bands like Dawn, Sacramentum, and Hirilorn.
