Saddam Hussein is fucking dead.

You know what? You guys are all raising good points; however, there is part of the Saddam issue that you're leaving out: The U.S. government absolutely fucked this guy over.

The simple fact is that Saddam was an ally of the US until he decided to fuck with oil prices. DON'T FUCK WITH OIL PRICES. YOU WILL GET FUCKED BACK.

PS: I saw Dragonlord last night...best band most metalheads probably never heard

Oh yeah gas prices going up. I am shure that was all Saddam

And gas was $.75 a gallon when bush 1 took office. now it's four times that. Who's making that money? Possibly the oil men in charge of our country? maybe? manipulating markets to appear to have shortages while posting record breaking profits in the tens of BILLIONS of dollars.
Just because we arent draining a pipeline out of bagdad doesnt mean
A: we arent GOING to
B: we aren't manipulating the market like a motherfucker.

not mention selling bombs tanks bullets and every other thing under the sun with no bid contracts in back door deals that keeps the wheels greased

How old are you Homz? There was an earlier Iraq war and it had everything to do with Saddam trying to manipulate OPEC and invade Kuwait. Some of the people mentioning that were fucking there. Not trying to insult you maybe you just don't remember that

23 and No I am just saying that blaming that on one dude is pretty silly. And yeah I am young I admit it.

The reason he originally went into Kuwait was to raise oil prices. He was trying to get Iraq out of the tremendous debt they were in because of the war with Iran. Iraq owed Kuwait like $20,000,000,000. Saddam asked Kuwait to lower their oil exporting and when they said no, Saddam went in. He wasn't there to steal oil...merely to slow their exporting so that prices would go up.

It didn't work because the USA and friends didn't want to pay more for oil.

FYI gas prices have gone up because us fucking idiots depend on it so much, we're going to buy it no matter how high it is.

Hey I drive a Prius, watch who you are yelling at.....

 I would get clausterphobic in one of those. I drive an Intrepid it's not to horrid on gas... yet :Smug:

But I can fit my half stack in the trunk along with my guitar, pedals got to ride in the back seat. I love it's size lots of room for my lanky ass.

P.S. I walk to work, and most everything is within a mile of my place so I don't need to fill up to often 1-2 times a month at most.

I can't agree more about too many Americans being ignorant and selfish when it comes to using gasoline. I sound like I'm going into hippy mode, but is it really absolutely necessary to buy such big cars that will ultimately deplete the earth's resources more quickly? Of course there are situations where bigger vehicles are needed, but there are far too many people driving "luxury" Hummers and Land Rovers for no other reason but to make up for the small size of their penis.

If you know anything about environmentalism, then you know that high gas prices ranks very high as one of the most effective ways to reduce emissions.

How's that for irony?

1998 Camry, the way I drive it gets 25-30 mpg so I only fill up once every four to six weeks, at under $30 a fill.

Another way to reduce emissions is to not burn the shit at all - it's a shame we don't have any more efficient means of storing energy, like hydrogen cells, or even any more efficient way to make the energy in the first place, like nuclear power, or ways to drop kilowatt-hours of consumption by the minute in many areas, like using LED arrays and not fucking light bulbs, or ways of making the combustion process more efficient, or ways of making the cars easier to move (Grab the butter, lard-o needs out!)...

That's all that a car really should be, dude! It doesn't have to be a beater or anything, but people should just be more responsible about their choice of car.

I am just saying even though my car is about as big as they go. I didn't have that many choices when I bought one, in fact the only other car that was offered was a saturn L3 and it was in way worse condition.

OH btw: if buying a car, in addition to thinking it's just a means to get from point A to point B I also would like to add: from point A to point B without breaking down
