hey guys,
You all are great people's! I did a mix up of a song from my band a few weeks ago, but I thought I would do a clean slate mix again.
I did things a little different, and I learned something about guitar tones!
What I learned is that I was adding to many highs on the tone, and when I through it in the mix I was wondering why it was so scratchy all the time. Come to realize, I can still have the presence of the guitar tone, all I need to do is turn the highs down a few notches, throw it in the mix and just turn the volume up. This made it so the guitar tones were much more full, and had that low-mid punch!
Here is the mix, hope you enjoy and feedback, as always, is welcome and preferred!
