Ticketmaster shows it cancelled. I called venue and BG and SymphonyX are cancelled. Opening bands are still playing. Refunds available at point of purchase.

Anyone have any news on this? Was it still the van? Did Symphony X still play? Will they actually play tommorrow? Seems like a lot is going on and no one is saying anything.

Sadly, I am pretty much in the dark as to what happened just as much as everyone else, but I do know the following for sure:

Symphony X was definitely not at 4th and B on Saturday. :-(

(Stinks, too, becuase I and 4 fanatic friends pre-purchased our tickets weeks ago, and drove 3 hours to see this concert... only to be told by the box office at 4th and B that the show was cancelled because of "transportation problems".

They had the two local opener bands still play. They refunded the ticket price to us and charged no admission to go see the small fries. (For the record, they were "Teabag" and "Cage". Teabag is a drums/guitar/bass/vocalist group who needs to lay off the drugs when they are on stage if they ever want to sound even vaguely like music. Cage was not bad, and while they were no substitute for the melodic mastery that I was expecting to hear, they prevented me from shooting myself in the head out of angst.

Anyhow, I am going to be "sick" tomorrow and see if I can get to the Hollywood show - I sure hope they make it down for that one! And hey, Symphony X, if ya read this, thanks for trying. I hope you guys are doing OK.

I don't know what the reason for last night's cancellation was. I have a call in to Romeo & am waiting for him to let me know what's up..I'll try calling him again this afternoon & see what I can find out. At any rate, I'm sorry ya'll didn't get to see them play. :(

I have the Teabag CD and it's awesome except for the singer....

it's Norm from Psychotic Waltz on drums...

the music is like Psychotic Waltz only thrashier...but the singer blows donkeys.

and as for the drugs....some things never seem to change in those circles :)

What with the 10,000 mechanics in the western US alone, I don't understand how not ONE of those motherfuckers could have helped the bands earlier with their troubles.

I live in San Diego. Being that I've been into Symphony and BG for 5 years of my life, the thought of this concert was a high point of my existence.

as the venue's employee simply told me the show was cancelled, my dreams were smashed. seriously. fuck all this shit.

I'm going to attempt a crashing of the West Hollywood show, just to see if I can grab two tix from a scalper.

wish me luck.

To the bands: I know this retched situation was past your ability to control, and no blame should fall on your shoulders. Thanks for the willingness to tour in the US!!:Smokedev:
