Sansamp RBI VS. Sansamp RPM?

The RPM has a cool mid sweep thing, whereas the RBI doesn't. The RBI has a presence control wheres the RPM doesn't. They're both priced identically, and supposedly they dominate when used together. Thinking about getting one, but I'm a bit confused as too which one would work better on it's own.

I believe the RBI has a fixed mid frequency at 1K and that's why I went with the RPM instead. Do a search at talkbass.com. There's a long thread on the RPM and some recorded sound clips.

dont know if you realise, but a lot of bassists use the original guitar sansamp for bass - thats not really the point here

i havent used the RPM before, so I dont have anything to add on that

Being able to sweep your mids on the sansamp makes a HUGE difference, more so with bass than guitar in my opinion
