I have no qualms about peoples right to believe anything they want, including my right to think they are absolutely bat-shit crazy for believing what they do believe.
You have the right (in MY country, anyway) to believe there will be a judgment day.
And I have the right (obligation?) to question your judgment because of it.
Over the years it has become increasingly difficult not to ask questions of people who may play an important part in my life.
My conviction is that those people that have 'deeply held' convictions also have a capacity for fantasy that I cannot fathom, and I do not wish them any influence over events in my life. Have you not ever wondered how your wife's OBGYN can believe in immaculate conception?
