I dont think katatonia ever identified themselves as having anything to do with "satanic" metal"......in fact I think they were kind of separating themselves from the whole thing.....

For some reason early stage of Katatonia very provocated in question of religious battle, between paganism/satanism and christian appeal...that isn't good but and not extremely bad.
