All I own are Dark Medieval Times, Shadowthrone and Nemesis Divina.

This is really amazing stuff. Just well written black metal. Before I bought these, I always dismissed this band because Satyr sounded like a pompous ass in interviews ("Rebel Extravaganza is the best black metal album to come out in years").

Anyway, cool first three albums, at least.

You may continue talking about non-metal stuff on a heavy metal forum now. :dopey:

Satyr is a ladies man.

So did any of them rape/attempt to rape some stupid drunk/stoned/whatever groupie at one of the shows in North America last year, royally fucking over the rest of the tour?

I saw that video on cable access like 5 years ago before I'd even heard of black metal... I wonder what happened to that show.

This thread inspired me to listen to Nemesis Divinia again. It's way better than I remember it. Don't know why I always overlooked it so much. Fucking top stuff.

Apparently they'll have a new album out this year. Any predictions?

yeah, i'm done with this band. other than Aborym, I can't get into this post black metal stuff. THorns, DHG, and stuff was awful to these ears.

Dark Medieval Times is on my "Top 3 black metal releases ever" list. 10/10 material. The Shadowthrone is 8.5/10 material, Nemesis Divina is quite good too. Rebel Extravaganza and Volcano have both got a couple of good songs, but they are pretty much boring overall.

As for Dødheimsgard (DHG), "Monumental Possession" is an outstanding release that is not to be missed! No keys, no techno beats, just fast, thrashy black metal with l'extrême vocal. Get it.
