It was a fun road but the proper owner of my 5150II just asked for it back. I've had it for like 3 years now. Though it was inevitable, this is somewhat devastating. I don't really know what else to say. Sniff.

If you're losing the mkII, why not take the opportunity to by an mkI?
They record so much better, and sound so much better in person IMO.
+1 there. Now that you're familiar with the Peavey sound, why not go for the original and best?

Good news -- I landed another 5150II...not for keeps but I get to hold onto it indefinitely.
Yay!!!
Fair call, I suppose - different strokes once again. To me the MK1 is clearly a superior amp, every single time I've shot the two out side by side. It was also a clear winner to everyone else who happened to be in the room at the time. The original simply has more of that 5150 magic.
