Schecter new guitars for 2008

I'm a bit disappointed ... I hoped for a blackjack ATX Tempest.
I would have bought the vintage white model in a split-second :D

Well, the sunburst Tempest classic is rad, too

And hell, look at that custom spalted maple Tempest on one of the last pages ... sexyyyyy ...

I think it's awesome that they are using the new emg 81tw with an 89. Schecter really offers a lot for not that much money.

OMFG I want the white HellRaiser C7.

The idea of their V's are cool, I like the binding and hardware...but the body shape is nothing great. I'd rather have the Jackson shape...

But that friggin HellRaiser C7...oh man...I've got some GAS. I miss my old black one.

Isn't the splittable model of the standard 81?

Yep, sure is. I think the TW stands for like Triple Wound or something...there are basically "3" coils in the same unit, a humbucker and a single coil. I never thought they'd actually do it (a splittable hummer)...now I love EMG's even more than I already did. And now, incidentally, I want the new HellRaiser even more.

Gaahhh - everything in there either looks like a totally generic super strat or an atrociously ugly design mistake (Devil, Damien V, Tempest, etc.) The only one I like that's unique is the 006, but it's basswood...

EDIT: I do see that the Hellraiser 006 is mahogany, and it looks awesome - but god forbid they offer a guitar in something other than red or black (or white). My allegiance is definitely still to ESP LTD for high-end Korean offerings.

The 00 series has pretty bad upper neck access for larger hands (the horn cuts right into your wrist), the C shape isnt amazing either but still, thats what puts me off the 006's.

Im having the V1FR in black ive already decided....:goggly:

Schecter's trying to garnish some attention away from ESP and Michael Amott. Competition among companies = good for consumers. 2008 is going to be a good year for buying guitar equipment.
