Sci-fi metal?

Lately I've been on a bit of a Sci-Fi flip. So I'm looking for some more bands with "Sci-Fi/futuristic" lyrics/sound etc.

Bands like:

Voivod
Vektor
Obliveon
Cynic
Target
Screamer
Scanner
Nocturnus
Mordeth
Xenomorph
Lob of Lemmings
Cyberhed
etc.

Also, it's not essentially the sci-fi thing I'm after, it's as much this sort of "barren wasteland/emptiness" thing.
If that makes sense, I know it's a little vague.

But I'm not picky, I'll take any genre I can get.
I'm thinking there's a lot of industrial and black stuff that I haven't really gotten into yet which might fit the bill.
(But heck, doesn't even have to be metal!)

Gods of Eden's lyrics deal with a lot of sci-fi/conspiracy/illuminati theories:

The style is technical and progressive. Music is very soundtracky/spacey too as far as metal goes... Check them out!
