I was thinking about picking up one of their cd's but I have not heard any of their shit. Anyone here know about them and if they are any good?

Not sure. I believe they are from New Hampshire? They got a singer named Ironlung who is supposedly a fucking maniac live. I guess before a show he wraps himself up in Saran Wrap while he is buck naked underneath and plays out. They got some pretty cool songtitles too. I just don't want to buy a cd because of songtitle and what I heard they are like live though. Some comparisons I keep hearing is that they kinda sound like Clutch. That doesn't help me alot though because Clutch have quite a few different styles they play. Some song titles

Cool, I just ordered New Hampshire. I wish I would have had the money when Hydrahead Industries was selling limited Scissorfight packages. They had a sweet hoodie and you got to pick one of their cd's and got their new E.P. "Victory over Horseshit" for 25 bucks. They stopped doing it though
Well, I just got a phone call from my girlfriend and she said I got my Scissorfight cd in the mail today. I will give it the headphone treatment tonight and tell you guys what I think of it...I'm going to Dayton, Ohio so it will be nice to have some new tunes to listen too on my way down

Hahaha I used to live there and did just that. Dave Chappelle actually lives about 15-20 minutes from Dayton in a little town called Yellow Springs. He goes to a local bong shop and coffee shop in the Oregon District that my brother goes too pretty frequently.

dude, i just got back from recording school in chilicothe, and my aunt and uncle live right outside of yellow springs and they said that hes been there alot lately. i was just in yellow springs a month ago...fuckin hippies.

haha when i was there, its was the fall street fair thing, and there were fucking DRUM CIRCLES everywhere, and fucking nasty-ass dreadlocks (shitsticks) on everyone. i was waiting for cartman to play raining blood.
Sweet shit man I LOVE the cd. Thanks for recommending it T-Man!! Scissorfight is exactly what I love in a band. Fuzzed out crunchy riffs, four on the floor beat the shit out of the drums styling, weird goofy lyrics about being a mountain man, fighting monkeys, pirates, beer drinking, fighting. FUCK this is one of those cd's where you wish you were cool enough to come up with this kind of stuff. I am definitely buying their whole catalog now.

@ gaschamber Yeah, I never been to any festivals in Yellow Springs. I would probably have to kick some hippy ass if I did.I have no tolerance for those types. I was 14 when I moved from Dayton. When I do go down there to visit my bro, it is pretty funny because all the shops in that area all have some kind of tye dye crap decorating them and you see all the old school hippy VW vans driving around

Well, I now have the whole Scissorfight collection(including imports) and I have to say that my favs are New Hampshire, Potential New Agent for Unconventional Warfare, Guaranteed Kill, Piscataqua, and Mantrapping for Sport and Profit. I still can't believe that I somehow missed this band. Great shit!!! Thanks for the recomendation T-Man.
