SCORE!!! new cab day :-)

Sup?

I scored these little jems today while i was out doing a little gear trading
the left one is a bottom and is in awesome shape,,the right one is a slant and looks like it has seen a good bit of use..

the left one has 8 ohm Celestion V30's

and the right one has 16 ohm g12t 75's

when i plugged up the one with 75's it sounded like shit all thin and weak,,so i took a look inside and found that someone had miswired one speaker when they put these in( they are not the orig. speakers as the input jack lists V30's like the other cab),,, so i fixed it and,, tadummmm,,,, sounds like it is supposed to now, i just wish it had 8 ohm speakers instead of 16 ...
and I'm a little disappointed that it didn't have the V30's but i cant complain about it as the deal was good, and only had 800 in the recorder that i bought about 3 years ago that i traded for both of them :Smug:

They both sound great with the Engl,,I like the V30 cab better in the rough mode and the gt75 cab with the smooth mode of ch4 though.

Did you take the chassis out of the enclosure with the Engl? If so, any particular reason other than maybe ventilation? Just curious.

Also, what guitar is that?

I swapped the power tubes then biased it and I'm playing around with different preamp tubes before i stick it back into the head shell.

it is a Conklin GT7,,, and i have the sickest custom 7 string V being built for me right now that should be done in a couple of months,, I'll post it when it arrives......Its BAAAAAAD ASSSSS

But i figure I'll run the direct out into another power amp into the cab with the 75's.

I hear ya,,,but I don't think its gonna hurt them for the short term ,,,but Yeah i got some rearranging to do to fit them in with the other 4 that are in here

for the mesa's? I'll have to get some mic's back from my guitarists place, as i only have a 58 here right now and it sounds like ass on a cab,,

a mixture of the other cabs and some impulses,,etc can be heard here

Magnets can erase all kinds of storage medium( hard drives, cassettes, reel to reel ) I even have a devise that lets me do it real fast:Smug:

I don't know,,,but I've not had a problem since i built this room 1 year ago with the cabs where they are,,,,

Yeah i meant Savage + mesa cab. The clip you posted sounds nice already.
