I came across this line when I was listening to State Of Euphoria for the first time in ages. It's odd; I always thought of this record as being very upbeat and positive, but that line stuck out like a sore thumb.

For a band so vocal about racism it seems contradictory to me that they'd be so homophobic...or is it a cultural difference? I mean, in the UK if you call someone a faggot it's a specific derogatory reference to a gay man, maybe in the US it just means 'weak'. I've heard it used in that context before.

Then again, Anthrax had a friendship/working relationship with Billy Milano and we all know he's not exactly a cuddly liberal...

I wouldn't have questioned this line when this album came out - I was only 17, but isn't that the problem? Bands should think of the impact their lyrics can have - why be negative? It's so easy and it just breeds more negativity.

I'm not advocating censorship, not at all. I'm just trying to figure out what was meant and if it's justifiable.

I've used "homo" or "fag" in the same way. Basically its another way of saying not to be a pussy.

However, I don't see why one has to be tolerant of homosexuality just b/c they are racially tolerant.

It's apples and oranges. I'm all for racial harmony, but I could do w/out the queers. Am I Homophobic? No. Is this a religious stance? Yeah, that's a big "no".

It's the basics of life. Man+Woman=Child. Child=continuance of the HUMAN race. To do anything less makes you a "homo" in the "weak assed pussy" sense of the word. Strangely - I'm ok with bisexuality. Go figure.

i have to go with pink on this one. i use the term pussy all the time now i might think twice. i know it's slang but you're making it sound like it's bad to be homosexual. it doesn't hurt anybody and there are way too many people populating the earth as it is anyway so a small percentage of the population of the world not having children isn't going to create any problems. as for those that have problems with gays religiously (not that i know of anyone here who does) it would be unchristian to stop gays from being gay since god gave us all free will. since they've been written off as "damned" let them burn in hell. that way all you hipocrytical religious will have that much more room to kiss your hateful gods ass.
again i'm not calling anyone here out in particular. it just seems alot of so called christians ( or any other religion for that matter) use it as an excuse to have unwarrented prejudice against others.
