The Kop!
Ok guys, get the spare undies out, this is gonna be good.

The 4th season has begun!

And as always, BitTorrent is your friend :p

I use www.suprnova.org to get the torrent files.. enjoy! :D

if the 4th season has just begun, you only get to dload crappy tv-rips in .mpg format. :yuk:
i'm not watching this series yet, but if it's good i might consider getting properly dvd-ripped episodes from the first 3 series, if they're out already. are they?

I would much rather watch them on tv first, rather than watch them on a small video window and listen through dodgy speakers. However, knowing that the series is on the way will send my hunting in my underwear drawer any second... ah, there we go. :)

In case anyone is wondering, Scrubs is the best thing on tv. By far.

The rips of the first season are crappy, but the second season is recorded with good quality already. 25 minutes as a 180mb file, that cant be called bad really. 2 hours films can be encoded as a 700mb file, and in good quality. But if you dont wanna watch it then dont and wait for the DVD rip :p

And Gaby, saying we watched 3 season would be a wild exageration.. we barely watched 2, lol.

Cool!

Btw, eMule/eDonkey are your friends too, as is The Real World.
I let you find out what they are ;)

BTW, do you concider downloading TV-shows as piracy or copyright
violation? Cos I don't, they are shown free anyway.
(except the fuckers add stupid moronic commercials tho, but those
assholes deserve the loss of revenue based on commercials ;) )

technically, not everywhere. in italy you pay a tax over ownership of a tv and receiving the signal, for instance. so even though cable is not widespread and the "free" channels broadcast all the shows they buy (sooner or later) for everybody, there is a price. so i suppose there are countries where downloading should be considered legal, and others where it shouldn't, but the point is that the sharing is illegal as long as there are countries where downloading is.

not that any of this is ever going to stop me from downloading all the series i like... i hate watching dubbed stuff

I certainly don't, for the same reasons. I also feel the same way about downloading films - if I didn't download them I'd only wait until they come on tv and watch them for free then anyway (rather than going to the cinema, which I only do for films I'm really interested in like the LotR trilogy), so either way I won't be paying for them.

There is an interesting thing that was said on another board about this,
it was something to this effect:

As a producer you should be very worried if your music/movies/whatever
isn't being downloaded, cos that means that people don't want it even
for free. Aren't the things being downloaded the most, also the biggest
sellers?

Kinda makes you think, huh?

@rahvin
true, in finland and sweden you pay a fee to watch TV, which is annoying,
cos you can't own a TV for other things, like I have consoles, DVDs and the
stuff I download, I don't tend to watch TV much, except with these things,
but I still have to pay the licence. Now, here they show scrubs on regular
TV, so instead of having to wait ages for the episodes and suffer thru the
commercials (during which I channel surf anyway) I download the stuff
instead.
I think my rent also includes the basic cable, which is even more stupid, cos
that you have to pay even if you don't own a TV.

Basicly it's just more convinient to download the stuff.

Also one of the great things about eDonkey and BitTorrent type of networks
is that you can never really be sued for sharing anything you are downloading,
since you are only sharing the chunks you have gotten so far, if you managed
to put them together, it wouldn't be a complete thing at all. Of course I'm sure
the RIAA/MPAA or whoever can go around this somehow.

Anyway, I think this is getting too off topic here and I think this has been talked
to dead all over the place anyway.
