I get problems with guitar fizz and I reckon that a lot of the problem is from my cab impulse selection.

I use TSE X50 V2 as my amp sim, and I generally keep the pre-gain at about 2, and post-gain at about 5. I try not to overdo the highs and presence.

What sorts of impulses are going to help me lose the fizz? I'm interested in mic positions and actual mics (i.e. I know off-axis and not to choose a 57 for everything!)

Is it a good option to deliberately choose something without too many highs (thus losing the fizz), and then put that highs back into the mix later on with some post-EQ? (after removing any remaining fizz with notches/cuts first)
