How are they? particularly Frozen, and Crimson. Do they sound a lot better?

Not a whole lot, didn't buy them for the sound improvement either. I bought "North From Here", "Down" and "Frozen" mainly because of the bonustracks that I didn't have on CD yet. I didn't buy "Crimson" because I already have the original digipak and there was no bonus material at all (at least nothing I didn't already have) on that one.

AMOK KILLS :headbang:! As well as the mini 'Obsession'. Those early years with Taneli Jarva were great. Remember such a couple of killer gigs supporting TiamaT back in 1995, during the tour for 'Wildhoney'.

By the way, I think that 'Crimson' is definetely better than 'Frozen' and what comes afterwards.
My 'Shadows of the past' copy is in vynil. I found it in 1996 when I went to HELLsinki at the Spinefarm Records, with other great vynils, such as Therion's 'Of darkness' and 'Time shall tell', as well as The GatherinG's 'Always'.
