ok ive been trying to find out on the net but to no avail, but i was wondering, would i see any benefits of running a separate user area for audio tasks on my mac?!
at the moment i only have this computer and so i use it for everything and its got boot camp running windows etc for playing games and god knows what else, but i just wondered if i made a dedicated user area for audio apps (protools le, reason and sibelius are all i use), would i see any real difference?! all my sessions are on an external firewire 800 drive etc, but i wonder would i reduce my cpu/memory load!?
any ideas or if you have tried/do this would be awesome!
