Well here I am teaching my kids yet more about metal, you know watching DVD's rocking out, all that, and have realised that there has been no discussion on here yet about how fucking brilliant the new album is, and how much of a brilliant return to fucking form it is. I am a great fan of everything Derrik has done with hte band and think Roorback was the only real dint they had.

As for the Live in Sao Paulo DVD has anyone else caught a look at that?, the sound is a little dodgy but you get around that with the awesomeness of the show.

Discuss my topic, else you may fall into oblivion because of lack of posts in this place:kickass:

It's been a bit better round here the last couple of days...

I don't have the new album. I dunno if anyone else does either, which is probably why nobody's mentioned it! How heavy is it?

I love what I've heard from their Arise album. Especially Desperate Cry. Fucking awesome thrash.

What I've heard of stuff with Derrick hasn't really grabbed me though... not my thing.

Dante XXI is fucking well up there with Arise and Beneath, and the best production on any of the Thrash albums ever.

The hardest thing I think for people to get their fucking heads around is that Seps with Max and Seps without are 2 different beasts that in my mind need to kept a little seperate in styles and vision. Derrik has been with the Band nearly as long as Max was there now

The production really let them down, whoever produced it, I actually think there wasn't enough Derrik era song selected for the setlist, I cant get the DVD to sound real good on any audio setting, but I get used to it, it is good watching.

Get your dirty hands ons Dante XXI you will like it, and I think Andreas and Derrik have finally settled into the role of song writers, Derrik's hardcore background has come out in the last 2 albums

Just to revive an oldish thread, I'm listening to Dante XXI for the first time right now. It's fucking awesome. I like it more than Chaos AD. Great album. Southy has spoken the truth once again.
