Did you get the name Anal Cunt from the GG Allin song, "Anal Cunt"?

no, i started anal cunt in march, 1988. gg wrote that song sometime in the 1990's. in fact, he asked me if anal cunt wanted to be his backing band in february,1989. i said yes. we never ended up getting together though,because he ws living in chicago at the time which is about 1,000 miles(1,600 km) away from where we were from.

well to reiterate, I am not familiar with AC's music on a first hand basis other than reading their lyrics; I draw my somewhat admittedly tenuous conclusion based on lyrical content, and the fact that Putnam was willing to lend his talents to back GG up. I doubt he would be willing to be a stand in for the Murder Junkies unless he was into the guy. The occupational hazard of being hit with a flying turd would be just to great to do it otherwise.

Both apparently had an insatiable appetite to shock audiences with so-called "taboo" lyrics.

I know more about GG because on a whim once at UNH I bought one of his albums - completely unlistenable except from a humour standpoint. Definitely not the finest New Hampshireite.

AC's music really has not been as good as it was during the Scott Hull period but Seth is just as great as he was back in the day. GG's and the Murder Junkies' music really sucked, badly.

According to a posting at the official web site of Seth Putnam, the ANAL CUNT frontman has been hospitalized in a coma. "Further rumors and speculation as to his condition at this point, are just that, rumors and speculation — no one, not even the doctors are certain of what Seth's outcome will be," the posting adds. "Family members thank all of the fans who have expressed their sympathy for Seth's situation, and ask that you respect their privacy at this time. They have promised to update me with any new information."
