we play an off time part and to compensate i had to change tempo and slow down so the part would fit like after 2 bars cause its a weired timing. It will hit on the final beep when tempo is slowed down, but other than that the click is off and makes it hard to play part. The part i think its not a normal 4/4 part and it stays the same tempo as stuff before hand but does not end on 4th loud beep if i leave normal tempo and it messes rest of the song up on the click track so nothing is ending on 4th bar. I wanna make so the loud beep will hit right with it at the end of each bar and when it goes to next part the beeps will go back to normal 4/4 beeps.

Any help on what i need to do so i can fix the click track or change for this part??

I'm sure its something stupid and sorry of my lack of drum timing knowledge and stuff but hope i explained good enough..

What software are you using? I know in Nuendo you can open up the tempo editor and adjust tempo and time sig, its easy to set up you just have to know the time signature your riffing section is. Im dont know shit about time sigs myself but i just count how many beats are in the lenght of the riff and adjust the time signature tool in the tempo editor to match. sometimes the riff can be 2 differant time sigs all together keep that in mind.

yea im working in protools!!

Yea i just need to know how to do it and i can figure out time signature when i mess with it!!

So anybody know about this and protools??

I use an Alesis SR16 for clicks. You can program the shit and let it roll till your time change, then punch in the odd time. I havn't learned the DAW version of this yet. I need to put that on my list of things to do.

Using click track and not program it in the DAW is weird. Editing is much easier if you have correct time bars etc... ;)

so anybody know how to setup weired timing click tracks in protools though?? I recorded the stuff already but I'm about to edit drums and i really need to have click track or bars right!! so drums will slide to the right place!
