tempo problem in cubase

im programing some drums and i did a part a bit slow, so i went into the temp track and boosted the speed on that part and well the midi stayed at the same tempo and the click changed speed. also the measures in the drum editing window became smaller to go along with the new tempo, but again the midi stayed at the old tempo any help would be great!

There is a clock button on the track, hit that so it changes to a lit up music note.

Yup, it'll turn orange to be exact.

I ran into this issue not too long ago and it was frustrating.
