I just saw that you get the song Shape Shifter with the new RockHard magazine(germany). I didn't see it on youtube yet but I'm sure it won't take long till it can be found there.

Well, guess it would be on their "Lauschangriff" CD, according to their homepage there won't be Amon Amarth on the next CD however.:confused:

@ Brisanti I know it because a friend already has the magazine and I heard the song (subscription advantage I hope that's the right word)
 
:confused:I could swear I didn’t read "Amon Amarth".:oops: Although I was checking not only the preview at the RockHard homepage but even went to the shop yesterday.... Guess many people already bought the new issue this weekend at the RockHard festival, it was available there. So maybe.... youtube.... soon?
Nevertheless an early comment by Sannr on the song would be interesting of course.
 
The song is great. I had the chance to listen to it twice. The verse isn't very melodic but the chorus is (of course) it's i would say dark and fits to deceiver of the gods pretty good. I love the song it's I would say (upper)midtempo so it isn't as brutal as destroyer of the universe,asator etc. but it isn't slow.
I can't tell you things about the lyrics because i didn't get that much.
Sorry that I can't tell you things about the production etc. but i'm not good in describing and hearing the parts and so on (I always had baaaaaaaaaaaad marks in music)

I got the magazine in the mail today. On my second listen of the song right now. The riffing feels kind of "simple" even for AA standards. It has a nice instrumental part in the middle with dual guitar harmonies.
In the end of the song the chorus is repeated at least once too many times.

I think I prefer Deceiver of the gods to this song.
