I'm so ready to not have a boss. Things are looking more and more up for working in a new studio this year as a full time job.

This thread kinda makes the cons that go with being self-employed not seem all that bad. I can tell everyone to go stick it, and quite frequently do. I don't deal too well with being a subordinate.

I was going to make the female boss observation, but it seems you guys beat me to it. It makes me feel genuinely bad for the women out there who are good leaders. A lot of their inability to cope with stress, multitasking & even-handedness seems to be rooted in their biology. The majority seem unable to overcome it.

I've heard my fair share about my friends' bosses (they all work in retail) and some of the male bosses pull some downright stupid shit as well. It's a personality issue as much as it is a gender one. Some people just aren't suited to the role, yet somehow get promoted up there regardless.

You all have my sympathy, and I hope that for those of you waiting on making a full career out of music, that you can do it as soon as possible.
