Short sample mix, give me some feedback please

This is a short excerpt from some new stuff I've been working on recently.

I'd like to get some feedback on the sounds and the mix in general because I'm trying to set a bit of a template so that the rest of the recordings go smoothly without too much fussing about with the basic mix / guitar tones / etc....

For the guitars, I'm not looking for a really heavy sound, I want something pretty clear but with enough gain for a fair amount of bite and a little chunk here and there.

I'd appreciate any input!

Yeeoww, bass is WAY too loud (much as I do love that fretless purr) - sweet lead tone and drum stuff, but I really can't judge the rhythm guitar because of that bass!

Haha, it's the classic example of everybody always telling me my bass is too quiet and since my monitors seem to suck I overcompensate like a mad-man.

I'm listening to it now on my computer speakers and it's pretty evident.

The drums sound fuckin awesome. Some of the best drums I'v heard in a while.

Rhythms sound good except the bass is as mentioned. Fucking unnecessarily loud.

Great mix aside from that though. \m/

Here is a version where I just bumped the bass down 3.5db.
It might still be quite a bit too loud, it's just so hard for me to judge it. On my PC speakers it sounds better - but these aren't too faithfull either.

I do want the bass to be pretty prominent, but not obnoxious.
