should I start taking my cat for walks?

Josh: I have a spare cat. He's a stray. He jumps on people's laps and purrs at the sight of me. Wanna borrow?

if you can successfully put a cat on a leash and walk him then i will be amazed.
exactly. if you start them young its alot easier. my persian likes being taken outside because cats absolutely love rolling around on the rough concrete of sidewalks. (I can take him out without a leash because I know he's not going to run away). I think the concrete feels good on their coats.

yeah, it's a matter of whether or not you can get him used to being outdoors without wanting to escape from your home at every opportunity. personally, I wouldn't do it, but I also have old cats who are more than happy indoors.

My cats reactions to leashes range from hiding to apathy. Thing with the one I can walk is she insists on exploring every nook and cranny of her environment. We rarely get anywhere unless I pick her up.

i just have to say that one of the funniest things i ever saw was when my sister decided that she was going to buy a leash for Arrow and teach her to go on walks.

or should i say "drags"? because that would be a more accurate description of that week-long experiment.
