If All That Remains is considered Metalcore, then I guess I like Metalcore. I have been listening to them for a while now and I think you should see the song I think is one of their best:

This song is a good example of Labonte's ability, aside from the melodic stuff. The guy can do pretty much anything with his voice when it comes to metal. He gets props from me.

I don't think it's that particularly interesting since he mainly seems to do that standard bark that every -core vocalist does. Saw him on the Melissa cross thingy and he definitely has great technique. Still doesn't help when you get entangled in quite questionable music.

What they don't care to understand is, people will cover your songs, regardless of they do a good job or not (it's opinion after all), and if those other band's fans dig it then they'll check out the original song.. ATR and Firewind fans who might not have ever heard of NM now become Nevermore fans. Thus, you win.

I remember there was a Nevermore tribute band posted some time ago, that actually played more challenging songs pretty well. I think they were from Mexico or something. Anyone else remember?

yeah, I do. They played pretty good.. only the singer was not top notch. They did Born, We Disintegrate, Engines of Hate and a couple more right?

Yeah, and I remember thinking the same thing about their singer, but otherwise pretty good.

Yup. They didn't chicken out with the song choices. Born isn't exactly Believe In Nothing when it comes to precision playing haha.
