Silverlane - Above the Others

Just checked out this band and figured I'd share it here with you guys. Couldn't find a whole lot of information (their website is still being developed and their Myspace has mostly info in German). This is a melodic metal band from Germany called Silverlane. They just released their second(?) album Above the Others. The music reminds me of a mixture of Thunderstone, Tarot and Sonata Arctica. Every now and then it makes me feel like the singer is also the baby of Jorn and Marco Hietala.

I am sure some in the forum will enjoy this.

Yea this album kicks ass! Singer at times also sounds like Christian Rivel.

So, I just discovered this band via Spotify (hah).

I REALLY like these guys. Very melodic/orchestral in the 'ol European sorta way. Really high caliber stuff. I've listened to both albums (Above Others and My Inner Demon). Seems like the singer changed from album to album unless I am hearing wrong. I really like both though.

Definitely recommended, will be buying these two album for sure.

I think they're pretty good and remind me of Tarot at times. Didn't really notice a change of singers though.
