Simplistic Death Metal

I'm looking for some DM that could be described as dumb, troglodytic, barbaric, simplistic, etc. Slow to mid-paced, possibly fast, like Jungle Rot possibly. Riff-based. Anything will do; death-doom, old-school, modern, brutal, slam. No tech, as that defeats the purpose

And I'll also recommend Moondark - The Shadowpath. Suffocating, booming, stomping... nasty stuff.

Moondark is a good rec. I've never listened to Sorcery actually.

I think Bolt Thrower fits what you're looking for quite well, but I don't really listen to much simplistic death metal. The earlier the Bolt Thrower the better for you, they get slightly more complex as time goes on.

You might want to check out Nunslaughter as well if you havent... fairly low fi, primitive hatefilled stuff.

Not to sound pretentious, but I know a lot of death metal. I've known all but like 1 thats been mentioned, so lesser known stuff is better. Krow, good choices, except SFU. I like some of their stuff, but they are goddawful like you said usually. Thanks though!

The best ones were prolly Moondark, Debauchery, and Slugathor. I really like the Polish and Finnish scenes, if there's any from there that fit my criteria.

I'm guessing you already have listened to Devourment? They fit your description pretty much perfectly.
