Hey everyone..

I was playing Sims Bustin Out on my Xbox last night, and put on the metal station on the characters stereo. Much to my surprise, the first thing I heard was some Black Metal blasting out of the stereo. Next was a death metal song, and then something that sounds like Dio-era power metal. But all of the lyrics were done in that weird Sims style speeking, if you have ever played the game, you will know what I mean.

I read somewhere that some band out of San Francisco did the songs, and made up the sims speaking to put into the music. If anyone gets a chance to play it, it is damn funny to hear black metal in a mainstream game...

That's kicks ass.

One of my favorite video games ever has one of the most incredible thrash bands I've ever heard (Lords of Thunder on the archaic TurboGrafx), and they of course are uncreditted.

I played Sims on the PC a few years ago. In the program files, there are folders for each radio station of music and you can dump mp3s in there. I had death metal kicking all the time in my Sims house. What a stupid fucking addictive game that I'm glad I haven't touched in a long time. I miss it. :)

Morrowind is owning my soul right now, I think that came out in 2002. It's a 3D action-RPG, two big huge NO-NOs in my book, but the game rules.

Sprites still own though. :kickass:

Yeah. I am very happy to see the return of decent sprite graphics, with the advent of the Gameboy Advance and advanced cell phones and what-have-you. I suppose not all post-1995 games are bad, then; "Sword of Mana" for the Gameboy Advance really rules, and generally the GBA seems to be a very likable console.

I played Shining Force a loooooong time ago and loved it!

FFVI is THE greatest game ever made! Well, tied for 1st place with about 4 other games that is (Xenogears, Ys I & II, and Shadowgate come to mind).

Shining Force series is great.. About FF I think IV is the best of the series though it is a bit too short..
Phantasy Star II is still the best game ever as you all must know. They re-released (no remake) it along with I and III too for the Gameboy Advance recently I think...

While I never spent a lot of time with Phantasy Star, those really were some sweet games. I could probably find them on an emulator somewhere, or just buy a used Genesis for $15 on eBay. :D

FFIV is right behind FFVI for me, probably has a better story but I preferred the mood of part VI. VII I didn't care for very much, and haven't played one since, but XI (or XII, I dunno) looks kinda good...

EDIT: I just looked up Shining Force, I never played that one. :erk: I was thinking Shining in the Darkness, whoops.

I know.

VII wasn't bad, it just wasn't for me. Cloud annoyed me which is I think why I didn't like it, but Sephiroth is one of the best bad guys ever. One of these days I'm going to go through it again, I haven't played it for many years now. I'll probably fall in love with it and wonder what the hell I was thinking. :loco:

Very cool

I remember it was always good getting your Sim to have ll the little notchy-things when he was playing guitar. The solos they rip when the thing's full are sooooooooo cool :D

FF7 are FF9 are still my favourite FFs  FF6 is damn good, pity the dialogue reads like it was written by a six year old :erk:
