Is it so much better than the free one that its worth the money? I use the free one all the time and think its great. there are a few little things that annoy me from time to time but i'm not sure if thats the sir sound, the sound of reverb on that particular source or if its just impulses in general that have the little quality that I tend to think im hearing sometimes when I use it
Well I have no experience with the free one since I'm on mac. But my guess is the biggest improvement over the first is zero latency (or you can set it to 1024 samples). It's flawless in cubase, have not tried it in the wrapper yet though.
Also there is something about the impulses themselves over the first version, apparently they are higher quality.
You know what fuck it I will just post the comparison:
So I tried SIR 2 in pro tools using the wrapper today. It's fucking glitchy as hell, but it works if you have the patience to deal with the glitchyness of it.
Works flawless in pro tools and garageband (so it would work great in logic).
