Situation in the Music Industry... Is it so bad ?

Hi,

I recently interviewed some labels about the situation in the music industry (sales rates, etc.). Each week, on Monday, we publish an itw of a label. This week, we began with a German label : http://www.metalchroniques.fr/guppy/articles.php?lng=en&pg=2901

I'd like to know what are your opinions about the music industry, etc. Do you think that the situation is really that bad ? Is SPV the only big "victim", or will other labels also soon disappear ?

Of course the other money hungry giant labels will crash as the pillars theystand on a crushed from under their feet.

Sad as this is in many ways, I think it will be kind of nice to see control be put back in the hands of the muso's rather than corporate money hungry f#cks who only sell for profit and do not support new and awesome young bands.

Bring iton and kill the giants I say!
