Six Feet Under Bringer Of Blood
Metalblade Records September 23rd 2003
By Russell Garwood
This three track samples of Six Feet Unders latest release showcases an increasingly groove-laden sound with more socio-politically-orientated lyrics than previous works. While the final song on this sampler reverts to the lyrical concepts of old, the first two are a dig at the American government and organised religion. The music itself showcases melodic yet extreme guitars, with aggressive vocals which vary between growls and whispers. The bass is prominent and powerful, while straightforward, driving drums are fitting.
These tracks demonstrate an increasingly accessible sound, and I would be interested to see if such a direction is maintained on the full album and in future. The commercial release of Bringer Of Blood is scheduled for September the 23rd, featuring a bonus DVD, through Metalblade.
