Slow, grinding death metal is invoked here and it doesn’t really raise a pulse in terms of creating interest in the band. They seem to go along at a rather generic speed and not put any momentum into their music which bogs down in tedium. Six Feet Under seem to be able to bang along at a decent pace, but just don’t have the juice to create something interesting. This makes them seem to fade into the background slightly with their underwhelming musical exercises.

Unfortunately, this style of being somewhat bland has a manner of infecting their every move and making them a slight bore to listen to. The addition of decent solos helps alleviate things a bit, but regardless this is still mundane to listen to on the whole. Six Feet Under could use some kind of spice to liven up their thoughts as they simply get mired down in tedium and it shows in their approach. The fact that things are moving along too slowly also adds to the lack of excitement to be found here. None of the tracks really stood above the rest in terms of appeal, so I’ll just say there isn’t really anything to recommend Six Feet Under.

If the music had some sort of an interesting nature there would be more to recommend it, but the rather bland nature of what is to be found here stops it from having any sort of impact upon you and it cruises towards an area that is not appealing. The performances aren’t particularly great either, with the chugging guitars being perhaps the best aspect to be found amongst the entire thing, though they don’t make a huge impact by any means. There’s much better death metal to be found around these days, so your best bet is just to pass this one up altogether.

Seed of filth had a nice groove on it, but it does kinda sound like Skeleton Christ from Slayer.
Overall, good review. This band isn't as bad as people say it is.

You're right, Six Feet Under were once good, but that was a loooong time ago. Classic's like Warpath, Haunted and Maximum Violence are well worth listening too, the band went downhill starting with True Carnage. Maybe if they put the bong away they could get out of their rut and do something worth paying for.
